Exception edition by Patty Maximini Literature Fiction eBooks

When all hope for moving on from a life filled with pain was gone, Emily Watson closed herself off to the world, packed her bags, and moved across the country in search of a new life. What she found was a career she adored and friends whom she loved. It wasn’t a full and complete life, but it was definitely better than what she knew before.
When all hope for being loved and accepted for who he was instead of what he had was gone, Taylor Carter decided that trusting people outside of his family wasn’t really smart and would only lead to disappointment. With his world turned upside down, his life became about his work, and every new relationship was meaningless and superficial. He was safe, and definitely content, but never truly happy.
When all hope for staying awake during a long day was gone, Emily and Taylor found themselves at the same coffee cart. Little did they know then that the worst coffee they’d ever drank would forever change their lives.
When hopeless people are blinded by an endless pain. When contentment and safety fells like the best option, and love seems impossible, they may just find an EXCEPTION.

This was a very insightful read. I love books that provide detail and this authors storyline is complete, any questions I have are just me wanting more. Emily Watson has led a life filled with trauma and she has never learned to handle it well. Her fall back is to shut down and just let the world go by. Having decided to leave her home in California and move to New York, she has managed, with the help of two friends, who would not let her shut them out. To have a meaningful and productive life. She has no need of anything more. And then she meets Taylor Carter and she faces just how shallow her life really is.I can understand how some people might become impatient with this heroine, sometimes you just want to say, "just grow up!" But when you learn her story you will become more understanding of her and how she copes. This is a beautiful love story, I loved the characters and their personalities. I know people like this and I'm fortunate to have some of them in my life.
If you have this book, read it, even if you have to read small amounts each day. There are some really truthful suggestions given to Emily near the end that we can all use. Taylor was the man she needed and although he had his own issues, being raised in a loving family helped him overcome his problems. If you're looking for wild sex, this is not the book for you, there is a plot, storyline and reasonable believable story. A very welcome change.

Sweet love story, but unrealistic in true life.It got a little too sugery in places too and too much cursing, but ended good.
AMAZING! This novel blew me away! The cast of characters are unique, funny, charming, witty, and all around fantastically written. I feel they will be my friends for a long time to come. They are easy to relate to and very easy to root for. Taylor, oh Taylor. I think that Taylor Carter will soon be a Book Lover's household name. He has surpassed some of the greatest book boyfriends and moved to the top of my long list. He is truly a man women dream of. This book will entertain and has a little bit of something for everyone. There is struggle, laughter, despair, hope, moments of fear, and moments of true love. A round of applause to Patty Maximini for capturing my attention and my heart in this amazingly well written and beautiful contemporary romance. Thank you for your work!!!
I was not expecting such a wonderful, beautifully written story about friendship and being that " person" that only some people get in life. Then to have the best of friends fall in love, and really loved the fact of no sex for seven months! Now that's true love, learning everything about someone before jumping their bones. Never seen such passion written, and I didn't want it to stop. If you are looking for that special love story, read this novel, this is definitely on my re read list!
The story was really good and was hard to put down for most of it. However, I have never read a book with so many grammatical and typing errors. They were on almost every page. This took away from some of the enjoyment of this book.
Move over ladies, Taylor Carter is mine! =D <3
WOW! Where do I even begin??? It's been a long, long, long time since I've read a book that has enraptured me as deeply as this one has. I can't stop thinking about it. I mean, literally, I can't. Every single character was so well developed. The friendships, the relationships, all of it was done amazingly well. There are very few books where I feel like I'm truly apart of the book, living in the story, and hanging out right next to the characters, and this was one of them.
While I don't want to give out spoilers, because I truly feel the book will be so much more enjoyable if you just experience it for yourself, I will say that it brought out every emotion, and deeply, and I think that's one of the biggest reasons the impact I feel this book had on me was so great. It touched me, and not just the story, but the characters. The love that slowly forms between Emily and Taylor is a beautiful thing to witness. I fell hard for Taylor and fast, and next to him, it's going to be tough for another fictional boyfriend to ever compare. Ladies, if you want an excellent read, one that will demand to be revisited, and one that will capture you from beginning to end and even after, read this. I can't wait to read more from this author! WOW!!!!!
<3 Taylor <3 <3 <3
This story is timeless perfection! I loved it! It was a very slow paced love story, which in my opinion, is what made it so great! The reader gets to enjoy the developing feelings between the characters. There is so much detail about Emily's past, that it makes it very relatable and understandable.
The romantic in me was dying for Taylor and Emily to finally be a couple and the author played a little trick about that coming to fruition. I actually thought at one point, "if this is another dream I'm gonna freak out!" lol.
I can't say enough good things. I appreciated the length of this book and the dedication to the paths of the characters. There was great detail given to the secondary characters as well. There are many more stories I'm dying to know, so I hope there will be follow up books to come. But there was no cliffhanger)
The writing was exceptional. I'm not used to reading books in the 3rd person, and that did take some getting used to. But the author had a perfect balance of conversation and character thinking. She also didn't use chapters to guide which characters were thinking, so it was instantaneously to see a conversation from both sides. I truly loved that!
a point I'd like to make is that so often in books the characters "horrible" past doesn't really qualify their current fears or traumas...but this one did. I thought it was nice to be able to believe what Emily was feeling and not feel like it was all just drama for a book scene.
Lastly...I LOVE the artistic cover to this book! Am I the only one sick and tired of book covers with half naked men or women? Geez...I get it, the characters have abs and are sexually attracted to each other! ;-)
This book is well written and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone!
